“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” The hop harvest is a very special time for the craft brewing industry. For many of us, not only does it mean new opportunities with this next harvest’s finest hops, it also means wet hops, fresh off the bine. Early in the morning of Saturday, August 13th, several farmhands stayed up and harvested Chinook for us in Southern Colorado which would then be driven down for the sole purpose of making this very special batch of the IPA that put Albuquerque on the proverbial craft beer map. Rich with the fresh green aromas that only wet hops can bring, this is everything you love about Elevated IPA, and then some.

Thanks to leftpaw for bringing a can of this out, although the sticker was a bitch to get off. Anyways, elevated is pretty much one of the hall of fame beers its been around and awesome for so long now. This one seems like it is a hair darker than the regulare version. Light amber in color with a sizeable 3/5" off white head. The aroma is all wet C hop it seems, taking on a slightly spicier, greener forest pine and tightly sour and bitter yellow grapefruit.
Taste is much the same as the nose, it leans spicier, wetter, greener, woodier. The malt base seems bigger here, it just seems like a slightly bigger greener version of the beer, like how there is yojo, yojo 33 1/3, 66 1/6th, dojo. But it also seemed like less flavorful tight hop presence than the main version, but that might be leftpaw sitting on them for too long, wet hops are fragile man!

Poured into a snifter. A golden amber color, slightly hazy, with a good sized light tan head. Aroma showed nice floral notes, herbal resin, grass, and some bready malt. The taste did not disappoint. Firm bitterness followed by citrus, floral, and resin. Grassy on the finish, reminding me of the season. Overall a great representation of the beer.

I tried this from the can in an IPA glass chilled
The color is amber with thick cream of off white head
The aroma has plenty of tropical and floral hop aromas with mild citrus and herbal elements.
The feel is excellent with both hop resins and moderately bitter quality with mild malt sweetness mostly dry with moderately carbonated and semi-dry in finish with light alcohol
The taste is hop joy with the focus on the flavor rather than bitterness yet it has a bitter citrus taste with slight tropical fruitiness and gentle spice accent with a gentle malt taste in the back with low sweetness but smooth combination of hops and alcohol is subtle
This is a great Wet hopped beer very high in hop flavor with refreshing smoothness not overly bitter and worthy of repeat samples, this can was very fresh a great base beer made better

Happened upon a single as it was being received at the Craft Beer Hop Stop on 9-19-18 for $4.50. Canned on 9-5-18; consumed on 10-4-18.
Beer poured golden orange with a beautiful long lasting white head that is leaving some lacing behind.
Nose is fresh grapefruit forward, very nice!
Taste is a moderately big pale and caramel backbone with the Chinook pine and grapefruit played in nicely to form a great tasting brew.
Mouthfeel is classic WCIPA, medium weight with a very smooth finish.
Overall a delicious brew, glad i could get such a fresh can!

Dark, golden body; slow rising carbonation; one-finger thick head, steady and lasting. Spicy and herbal grassiness to the aroma; pine resin. Well-balanced taste of mild malt grains with a tempered yet pervasive hop bitterness. Heavy body; sharp and resinous on the palate; muted residual sugar presence with a hint of alcohol warmth; dry overall.
An awesome American IPA, well-balanced and complex with the grist and hop ingredients. The can bottom indicates it was packaged on September 05th with a 'best by' date of December 04th. It delivers a classic hop sharpness and bitterness neatly offset with a fine malt base. Damn good stuff...

Poured from a 16oz can with a born on date of 9/5/18; into a pub glass.
Appearance- a clean amber with a snow globe of bubbles holding a steady medium thick, off white, sudsy head; lacing is patchy, but plentiful!
Smell- a delightful bouquet of tropical fruits, passion fruit, guava, and mango with hints of pine resin!
Taste- tropical fruits overtake the palate with a touch of tangy, earthy, bitter hops on the finish; absolutely brilliant juicy flavor profile!
Feel - mild body, super easy drinking, tasty and hits a home run with the bitter finish!
Overall- I think this surpasses Project Dank, which was my favorite from La Cumbre; this is masterful!

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice clean/clear dark golden orangey color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango), piney.
