Thanks to hop hound for this one. Amazing. Citrus, a tad sweet. The nose invites you in, the flavor seals the deal. I really love how this one moves bitter, but the sweetness gracefully tames it a bit. I would make this a regular in my rotation if I could.

APPEARANCE: Call me old-fashioned, but I've never seen a NE IPA that looked good. That said, for the style there's nothing particularly exciting about it in either direction, so it gets a 3. Murky, a little lighter than expected (straw color), with a tiny bit of head made up of super-tiny bubbles.
SMELL: The aroma is lovely with orange peel leading the way followed by a bit of grapefruit. The only issue I have is that it is not a powerful a smell as I'd like. I really have to get my nose into the glass and swirl the beer to get a good sniff.
TASTE: One word; exceptional. Despite the look and the slightly weaker smell than I'd like, this beer comes through where a NE IPA should, on the palate. Grapefruit leads the way with hints of candied orange. The bitterness, rounded out by that orange sweetness is just a beautiful combination.
MOUTHFEEL: Smooth, creamy, juicy, with almost zero tickle. The grapefruit bitterness mentioned above both opens and closes each sip with a wave of candied orange sweetness pulling the beer through in the middle.
OVERALL: This is what New England-Style IPA is all about...even though it's from the Southwest. Very well done, La Cumbre.

Looks like a NE style IPA with cloudy gold color that left good spotty foamy lacing. Smells like pineapple, orange juice, grapefruit and prickly pear or some other strange fruit. There is fruity notes and light biscuit or crackers. Flavor is very fruity with lemon, grapefruit, lime, orange juice, melon, passion fruit, coriander, light floral hops like it was dry hopped, peppery spices, biscuit, faint piney notes and spicy earthy notes. Very light and smooth, it's very interesting in a good way.

Definitely the best NEIPA canned by La Cumbre to this date. Looks like straight up Sunny D. Citrusy nose. You get lots of juice with some hints of pineapple.

So, La Cumbre is my local. So, I saw folks drinking what looked like orange juice. The curiosity was engaged. So I asked and was informed this was In The Money, the new ale in town. So yes I was drinking Elevated IPA and did not feel like mixing, nor wanted the regulars to see me drinking OJ. So I bought a four pack of cans. And yes it does look like juice poured out, but the Citra taste is really pretty bright and fine. And then the 8.5 alcohol hits and well, you know you are home. No need to drive and well, yeah, this is a really pleasant ale. Que Viva La Cumbre!

First one from la crumble. Great aroma. Pours like orange juice. Small one finger white head. Light lacing. Nice big flavor across the board. Look forward to more from them.

Clearly NE IPA's are just not for me. Tried to be as objective as possible, but its hard and I wasn't. Just sugary sweet juiciness to me.
