This can was consumed a bit late, so caveat emptor. Canned 6/23/22.
Fluffy white head, yellow swirl of, well, um lots of stuff. A bit messy looking. Solid head though. Great retention and some solid lacing.
Nose is citrus, mango, grass, and eventually some grassy notes with hints of onion.
Flavor starts off with a nice balance of orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple, and a tingly (and slightly boozy) punchy grain note. This is where the flavor and the mouthfeel become difficult to separate. There is a lot of chewy stuff hovering in the mix.
Overall, this one starts off nicely on the nose but takes a left turn and never finds its way back.

L - indistinct murk, little lacing not much head, even with a pretty aggressive pour.
S - pineapple/mango/cutgrass/cat-pee/ripe fruit aromas that are hard to separate. Boozy rum note spoils it.
T - this is where this DIPA sort of falls apart for my taste; too sweet, indistinct, could be any other DIPA out there. Cans 2-4 were almost undrinkable, alcohol booziness and wood note just out of balance. Really surprising from Cumbre. Yikes.
F - Good, nothing extraordinary, but balanced. No hop burn, I'll give it that, and those 9.3% will sneak up on ya.
O - A below average DIPA, and I wouldn't put it in the same category of excellence as their usual IPAs (elevated, project dank, etc.)

16 oz. Can

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty quick/thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach, guava, mango), some nice diesel/pine. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach, mango, guava), nice little sweetness, nice little diesel/pine like. Medium body, ABV hidden pretty nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty beer. Would have not known it was 9.3% abv.
