A - Pours a hazy golden orange with a three finger foamy white head. Heavy amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is tropical fruits, Belgian yeast and light sweet malts.
T - The flavor starts with tropical fruits and Belgian yeast. There is some sweet malts and piney hops mid palate. The finish is grapefruit peel and white pepper.
M - Medium bodied with high carbonation. Crips mouthfeel with dry finish.
O - This is an interesting mix of farmhouse and ipa. The flavors are light and refreshing.

Vivant IPA Mind Trick $3.29 pint can (no visible dating) from Copper Vine, poured into my Vivant Monk Club goblet
A- A 1-1/2 finger, off-white head is created from a somewhat careful pour. The body is a cloudy, golden-orange with medium carbonation. The head settles to a thin foam and wide, lacy rings cling after every sip.
S- Sweet and hoppy. There's a definite tropical fruit/melon presence, along with a sugary sweet malt backbone and citrus accents. It's very aromatic from the get-go. Some gummy/funky notes develop and bring a Belgian feel.
T- Sweet and tropical at first with a slight Belgian funk up front. A grainy middle, gives way to a citrus finish (grapefruit juice). There's a spicy/herbal (medicinal even) quality about it, not sure that it's due to the hopping or yeast. Maybe a little Granny Smith apple in there too.
M- Medium body and carbonation. A significant, hoppy bite. Slightly grainy. Bone dry finish.
O- A more complex, grown-up version of Viviant's regular IPA. Very drinkable, at 5.8% I could see drinking another pint. Belgian qualities are subtle. There's enough to know it's no normal IPA without overdoing it. A solid brew. I'd order it at their pub, but I might not jump at buying it off the shelf.
