Described as: This Sour Red Ale was brewed with American hops for that extra something special. Rose hips were then added to the cask to compliment the aromatic qualities of the hops.
Enjoyed on tap at Vivant's wood aged beer fest:
A - Cloudy Amber, small off-white head.
S - Strong vinegar tones, slight bit of floral note from the hops, citrus qualities.
T - This one has two "flavors" - sour and hops. The hops impart a nice bittering, but with the sour tones on the flavor, it is not overall appealing. The rose does not come through at all, it is too dominate by the hop profile.
M - Has a nice crisp dryness I expect from sours. A bit thin however.
O - The flavor of the hops and sour together muddle much of anything else. Not my favorite of the day.
