From the 12 oz bottle presented in a snifter. This FINE schwarzbier pours a
deep blackish brown with a very nice head of off white foam that subsides
to a thick ring, thin layer, and features some nice lacing. Nose of smoked malts,
subtle coffee, and a touch of cocoa. Flavors exceed the nose with nice smoked
malts and a touch of char accentuated by light coffee notes and bitter cocoa.
Excellent mouth feel; medium of the heft, light carbonation, and subtly dry on the
finish. Overall this is one of the best of the smoked (and or toasted) lagers I have
had to date. A treat for the smoke lover out there. Nice and balanced without being
over the top.
Cheers

Dirty brownish black with a thin but persistent smoky tan head.
Roasted malt and a little smoke on the nose, with that aerated characteristic some lesser stouts tend to have.
There's a nice level of smoke on the tongue that is still present even while eating barbecue. Roasted malt, wood, coffee are also present.
Smokey Robbins is a little tangy, with a frothy feel and dry finish.
