Having this beer on/tap at the brewpub. Served in a tulip glass. This beer draws a slightly cloudy/hazy, mostly clear medium golden color. The bar tender filled the glass all the way to the top in a way that she didn’t really leave any room for a head to form. This had some cluster swirls of surface foam when it was first drawn and served to me. Just the slightest trace of lacing. Aromas of some bready malts with a good presence of caramel sweetness, a bit of clove spice, and Belgian candy sugar. The taste is pretty much the same, with some bready malts with a healthy dose of caramel sweetness followed by some spice notes of clove and the some additional sweetness from the Belgian candy sugar. Also a hint of banana. Has a mostly crisp, also frothy, somewhat smooth, slightly prickly, full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean, slightly dry finish and aftertaste. A very nice beer all around here.
