Received this beer as part of a cigar box purchase from Leaf and Bean it is labeled as Island Jim Honey Gold Ale which came as part of the Island Jim #2 box purchase.
Appears deep slightly hazed golden in color almost an orange glow to it...white cream colored head forms nicely leaves behind speckled lacing.
Aroma has some tart apple fruitiness to it with a nice delicate bready malt character, not much hop action.
Flavor slightly tart green apple notes, bready malts almost a citrus lemony character to it quite easy to drink and refreshing. A straight forward easy to drink golden ale, nothing to complain about.
Mouthfeel is medium to lighter bodied with even flowing carbonation crisp semi dry finish...I'm a fan.
Overall, limited beer that was a nice surprise after buying a box of great cigars (21 count box of Island Jim #2) at 160 bucks I got the cigars, this beer, a poster, and a sticker!
