From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This very nice red ale pours a deep, lightly
cloudy reddish amber with a nice head of off white foam that subsides to a
thick ring, thin layer, and light lacing. Nose of toasted malts, caramel, light toffee,
and subtle hops. Flavors hit the right notes on this one for a red ale with toasted
malts, light toffee and caramel notes, and light breaded malt notes on the rear with
a medium herbal hop note that keeps it crisp and refreshing. Very nice carbonation
that sways past medium is crisp and refreshing for being a lightly hopped malt bomb.
Balanced and quaffable. Nice.
Cheers
