This is a collaboration between The Brew Kettle / Lagerheads Brewery / J.A.F.B. Wooster Brewery for Cleveland Beer Week 2016.
On-tap at Heinen's in Mayfield Village, Ohio
This is a "Pumpkin Hefeweisen". Pours a cloudy brown with a fluffy tan head that leaves great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice blend between pumpkin spices and the sweet Belgian yeast. Cinnamon, ginger, clove, banana and bubblegum lead the way. The malts do their thing. The flavors follow the nose. It's sweet and slightly tart, but nothing overwhelming. Once again, the spices and yeast blends well together. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's very fluffy and creamy. Very easy to drink.
This is a very nice collaboration. It's exactly what you would expect if you combined these two styles. It's very unique and enjoyable. Well done.
