Pours an opaque, yet clean orange, very light head and carbonation. The scent is subtle, resin with some spice. Taste is comparable to many old school imperials. Some upfront bitterness, but the chewiness of the malts is there as well. With each sip the Habanero becomes more present. Certainly the most interesting element. Slow sipper, but a decent offering

They brought this back it looks like. I'm into it, it's not overly spicy and seems fairly balanced, maybe could go for more lime. This is one of their better beers I think

This is supposed to be Lupulo with a spicy, Mexican angle, but it's not as potently hoppy or dank as Lupulo. The spicy heat of the habanero enhances the toastiness of the malt, and builds to push tolerance levels. I'd rather have the sting come from the hop overload of a regular Lupulo.

32 ounce growler
Served in a teku glass

This beer pours a deep amber color with burnt orange highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves a little lacing.

Lime is the first thing I smell. I also get some cilantro and a little fresh pepper along with the typical citrus.

The lime is at the forefront of the taste. The cilantro comes through the middle with some citrus. The habanero is faint in the finish but builds with each sip.

Medium to light mouthfeel

It is an interesting twist on a great beer. I like it for the most part. The flavors build the more I drink. I don't think I'd drink this all day, but it is a nice change of pace.
