Poor RichardÂ’s Ale pours a hazy brownish-amber color with a thick beige head that dissipates slowly. Fairly solid lacing throughout. Strong earthy malt and hops aroma. Rich smooth body with pungent malt and fruit flavors, as well as touches of caramel and hops. The finish is very malty and leaves a sweet brown sugar aftertaste. Pretty enjoyable from start to finish.

A - Pours a dark Crimson color with very little lace and very little head. It also has some visable carbination
S - Smells like a pad of paper. Very dry malts, hints of chocolate and some nutty aroma. Other than that very dry.
T - This tastes like a nutty coffee. There are also hints of molasses in there. I found the hops way in there but unless you really know the smell of them they are hard to find. Dry finish too.
M - Sharp on the pallete. Not biiter, but the carbination encompasses the tongue as soon as it hits.
D - This is a bit heavy for an all night session beer. But it is very enjoyable. I suggest everybody try this.
