I have had this beer both in bottles and on tap at the brewery. Both were excellent.
A: Dark ruby red slightly unfiltered.
S: Smell was light hops with a huge caramel, brown sugar aroma.
T: Big mouthfeel, brown sugar molases flavors up front, with a slightly dry hoppy finish.
D: excellent, if you love big beers this is fantastic, not overly hopped like the Aragant Bastard(which is an excellent beer), so you can enjoy several more.

Appearance: This beer pours a really dark brown cloudy hue with a nice looking tan head. The head stacked up about three fingers high, but quickly disapated leaveing a small amount of laceing behind. Lots of beading rumbleing to the surface.
Smell: The aromas are strong semi-sweet and burnt malts, nice hop character, dark fruity esters with a good caramel and toffee quality. Strong alcohol is present.
Taste: The flavors aren't bad but as it warms it is starting to become a bit cloying. Has alot of barleywine qualities, especially with the high amounts of bittering hops, a strong sweet burnt malt profile with a definite high alcohol presence. Has some very lively fruit aspects, such as raisins, prune, and even a grapefruit touch.
Mouthfeel: A medium to thin mouthfeel which is surpriseing for a beer which I suspect is high in its alcohol potentcy. Has a Solid amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: I love strong beers but this one was a little unbalanced for my likeing. The ABV isn't posted on this brew anywhere on its bottle, but if I had to guess I would say it was closer to 8% -10%.Not bad at all, I am looking forward to trying other beers from "The Brew Kettle".
