This beer pours a dark brownish-amber color with medium foamy beige head that has decent staying power. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet malt and nuts, as well as a touch of hops. Medium-bodied and smooth with a sweet malty character and flavors of caramel and maple offset by some moderately bitter hops. The finish is somewhat dry and sweet with a roasted nut and malt aftertaste. I like my Scotch Ales to have more teeth than this one. Not a bad brew, but kind of a letdown overall.
