“The first of our “fruited” White Rajah variants this year, Jalapeno White Rajah, kicks this year off right. A healthy dose of almost 4lbs per barrel of Jalapenos added right before this beer is packaged captures the fresh bite of our favorite pepper. Tropical notes marry perfectly with Jalapeno peppers to create a balanced, refreshing beer with just enough heat.”

I've had some truly awful jalapeno beers. This is not one of them.

White Rajah - Jalepeno brewed by
The Brew Kettle Taproom & Smokehouse / Production Works. This American IPA clocks in at 6.80% ABV.
The brew is poured out of a 12oz can into a pint beer glass. The color is a deep golden amber color with a nice white head. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with jalapeno, mixed with hop bitterness. You also pick up on a nice amount of earthy grains an malts in the smell as well. The jalapeno spice is a nice touch to this brew. So far this is an interesting brew. Now for the taste. It is bold, but mild with the jalapeno flavors. Not saying that is a bad thing. Overall a well balanced American IPA. There is a jalapeno hot mess, but the earthy grains and malts, along with hop bitterness take away from that.
It is really hard to pick up on the 6.80% ABV in this brew, it is just that smooth.
The mouth feel is Bold, Jalapeno, Hoppy, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. This brew would go nice with a dinner, like a steak or good burger. Overall I am going to give White Rajah - Jalepeno a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again given to opportunity too. The Brew Kettle Taproom & Smokehouse / Production Works did a super nice job with this American IPA.

White rajah jalapeño ipa. Gift from a friend. Today I had a jalapeño salad and even jalapeño ice cream!, so I think it's a perfect night to try this brew if I want to go with today's theme. Poured out with a nice frothy one inch head, slightly cream colored that rather quickly disappeared to the edge of the glass. A light surface film of bubbles the shape of Australia remain floating in the center. The color is bright golden. The scent is a beautiful blend of citrus with a kiss of spicy jalapeño. Strong lemon and orange, perhaps some mandarin as well. Taste is cool and refreshing, getting more of the sweet blend of citrusy fruits. The bitterness of the hops hits straightaway, and the very slight and subtle burn of the jalapeño follows after, swimming to every corner of my mouth. A light tingle of fizz excites the palate, the carbonation is lively and strong. Overall this is a wonderfully bright beer, and a perfect compliment to my Kung pao. While not as spicy as either my Chinese food or Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin (my favorite spicy beer), this has a great refreshing quality to it, and preserves and delivers the full flavor of jalapeño without too much kick to distract.

12 oz can, canned on 2/16/21, poured into a pint glass at 45 degrees F. This is a White Rajah 10th Anniversary variant:
L - golden, with maybe a slight green tint
S - hops and pepper, makes me a little skittish to taste
T - a great IPA with a definite jalepeno flavor. The kick is not that bad, but you definitely taste the pepper
F - medium mouthfeel, adequate carbonation
O - very good IPA, usually the jalapeno is overwhelming in beers like this, but not this one

This is a limited edition beer brewed for the 10th Anniversary of White Rajah. Canned on 2/19/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with some clarity; small off-white head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing. The aromas have lots of crackers and fresh bread. Hints of pepper skin. Mild hints of fruit. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. They're very clean and crisp. There's a decent amount of jalepeño pepper skin flavors, but it's not spicy or hot at all. Lots of fresh grass. Mild blend of tropical and citrus fruits. More crackers and fresh bread. Malts do their thing. Finishes dry. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, smooth and easy to drink.

This is a solid IPA. It's clean, crisp and refreshing. They nailed the jalepeños without making it hot or spicy. It's all about the jalepeño flavor. The craftsmanship is on point. Not bad at all.
