Ya know what? No. No we do not need chocolate. No coconut. No peanut butter or unicorn tears. Not even a drop.

This Porter speaks for itself with the carefully curated use of malt water yeast and hops.

Brewed with pride and tradition. Heritage Porter, is in a way, a salute to the fine city of Strongsville. The city we started in. The final beer brewed at our old home on pearl was our preliminary test for heritage Porter and we’re proud to bring it to all of Ohio.

A dark & decadent porter with a chocolatey jab and a roasty right hook. Brewed for the mustached gentlemen who fears not the occasional round of civilized fist-i-cuffs.

Very nice, flavorful straight up porter.

Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Very dark brown color with excellent creamy beige head and nice curtain lacing. Pleasant smell and taste of chocolate and a bit of smoke. Nice roasted malt notes. Toasted dark bread. Full, smooth feel. I would get this beer again.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid porter pours a dark blackish
brown with a very nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thick
clumping layer, and shows some nice thick lacing. Nose of dark cocoa, char,
deep roast, faint coffee, and some earthy malt touches. Flavors surpass the
nose with a fine presentation of dark bakers chocolate, dark coffee, faint
cream, char, smoke, roasted malty goodness, and subtle hop hints. Nice
mouth feel; medium full body, smooth, coating, light carbonation, moderately
coating, and finishing with a nice bitter malt note.

Overall---a no frill, no fluff, in your face great standard.

Brewing a big brew great is one thing, brewing a great standard says
even more about your brewers skill and this one has the touch!

Cheers

I got a 6pck of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving some lace. The scent had roast malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with roast malt base with subtle coffee highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Canned on 12/28/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip.

Pours almost black; creamy khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing.

The aromas are malt forward. Some cocoa and marshmallow. Mild hints of smoke. The aromas open up a bit as it warms.

The flavors basically follow the nose. More cocoa and marshmallow. Some chocolate. More subtle hints of smoke. Mild floral notes. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes dry. Alcohol goes unnoticed for the most part.

Mouthfeel is light to medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, spritzy and slightly fluffy.

This is a solid porter. It's not flashy but it's not supposed to be. It's a classic and traditional example of the style, more or less. Clean stuff. Not bad.
