I've been giving plenty of the seasonals a try and so this local (not always great) brand also gets a taste. The problem is, what is it?
It pours a bit dark for a fest bier and smells and tastes a bit thin for a marzen. But to back up a bit, there is a nice pour going on here with a drinkability marzen usually don't have. It has a clean aftertaste. I wish I had another.
Recommended. I guess I'd call it American Festbier.
