It smelled like a sour, but tasted nothing like it (Thank God!). Anyway, it was a solid brew with a light cherry flavor.

Opening the beer carefully still produced an overflowing bottle. Pouring it into the glass, it starts off with 90% foam. It recedes steadily but still takes awhile to settle. Some chunky spots on the glass.
Plenty of caramel aroma. Light tartness in the background. I also get a little bit of cardboard.
Lots of yeast bite upfront and in the finish. This is so strong that it's hard to pickup on any other flavors except I get a strong iron metallic flavor. The body is neutral and the carbonation is very high. There's some booziness (bourbon barrels?) in the swallow where I also get a touch of sour cherry.

Hey, I want to like this beer, I really do. I admire the brewer's audacity. Cherries, vanilla bean, bourbon barrel aging, plus some Brett. That's quite a bit.
Unfortunately, it doesn't come together for me, not at all.
The beer looks good ... copper colored with a foamy head. The smell is bourbon and sour cherries and a little funk. The taste, well, the taste is hard to describe. It's a little like cherry Coke with a smidge of bourbon. It's quite medicinal. It's not at all sweet.
If you have a taste for odd and unusual beers, give this one a try. I've never had anything quite like it.
