Purchased from the Waurn Ponds Liquorland in November 2023 and drunk in March 2024.
Appearance: The beer pours from the can slightly hazy with a straw-like color. It forms a head that quickly disappears, leaving a ring around the edge of the glass. The bubbles are large and slow-moving.
Smell: The beer's aroma is typical of a lager, with sweet malts, earthy, herbaceous hops, and a slight twang of yeasty sourness.
Taste: The taste is also typical of a lager with floral hops and a sweet bready malt base, which is dominant throughout. The bitterness is mild but coats the tongue and lingers after swallowing. The beer finishes with a sweet and long aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is smooth and silky with low carbonation and unnoticeable carbonic prickle.
Overall: This beer is a solid, easy-drinking lager that is not overly sweet like many mainstream lagers. It has enough hop body and bitterness to retain interest throughout the glass. A nice job.
Cheers!
