Mocha Mint Rush is the seventh release of our barrel project series. This Imperial Breakfast Stout was infused and conditioned with copious amounts of natural Ecuadorian Cocoa Nubs, Guatemalan cold pressed coffee and Madagascar vanilla beans with a hint of Chocolate Mint. We took a blend of a different Tioga-Sequoia stouts aged in Caribbean Rum, And Bakers Bourbon Barrels for 18-24 months. Look for deep flavors of Rich Chocolate and Toasted Coffee, Surrounded by velvety nuances of Mint, Vanilla, Oak and Bourbon on the finish.

Went over to Tioga Sequoia on a recent work trip to Fresno and naturally spent way too much money taking stuff back to San Diego. Untappd’s description was “Mocha Mint Rush is the seventh release of our barrel project series. Poured a pitch-black color with less than a finger of fizzy khaki head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled mint chocolate chip ice cream, vanilla, rum barrel, cocoa, chocolate syrup, milk chocolate, chocolate mint candy, toasted oak, smooth bourbon and black coffee. Even better from the bottle. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose but still really good. In order got vanilla, milk chocolate, mint chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate syrup, chocolate mint candy, rum barrel, cocoa, toasted oak and smooth bourbon. So smooth for 13.8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Just an excellent beer. Glad I picked up a bottle. (Overall - 4.25)
