Sugar Pine is a robust American porter flavored with organic cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans. Chocolate and roasted malts are the back bone of this beer and compliment the vanilla and cacoa flavors perfectly. Our porter captures the essence of a dark craft beer you would love to have near a campfire or as a side with a dessert

22 oz rare beer bomber into snowman chalice
Deep dark black with a creamy head of a finger.
Huge aromas of chocolate, vanilla, and marshmallow. Slight Golden Graham. Actually...much like a s'more.
Flavor brings some brown malt and roasted malt, marshmallow sweetness, some milk chocolate, and earthy hop.
Feel is creamy and medium bodied. Quiet carbonation. No warming alcohol.
Overall an enjoyable porter, would have again.

Type: 22-oz. bottle
Glass: Clear 9-oz. plastic cup
From: Liquor King in Fresno, Calif.
Price: $5.99
Purchased: March 31, 2016
Consumed: April 1, 2016
Misc.: No BOD on bottle
Looking forward to this one. I’m a fan of porter’s, cocoa and vanilla. Picked this up with a few other Tioga-Sequoia beers and this one stood out of the lot except for maybe the Autumn Rush (BBA breakfast stout). Let’s go.
Poured a very dark mahogany color (almost black) with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki-tan frothy head. Average amount of sporadic lacing on the sides of the cup. Average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled vanilla beans, cocoa, chocolate, marshmallow and light tobacco. Not a lot, but appealing. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste follows the nose unfortunately, was hoping for better. Definitely artificial flavors. Vanilla, cocoa, sugary milk chocolate, hints of caramel and toffee, marshmallow and brown sugar. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, chocolately finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was good, but I think I overrated it a tad at 3.75. Too much artificial noise. (Overall - 3.75)
