Pours a hazy, maize color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong yeast, sweet malt, wheat, slight strawberry, hint of hop, and slight banana. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. There is also a noticeable heat. Tastes of wheat, hint of chili, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of strawberry. Overall, good appearance and aroma, but average body and blend.

It's tough to deny that this is a good looking beer. Something about that strawberry blonde look makes me think of summer days spent on beaches. A good hearty head aides any beer's appearance, and this beer certainly isn't lacking here. As a "strawberry wheat ale", it better have a pink hue and some strawberry notes in the aroma and flavor profile, and it delivers. The aroma smells Belgian inspired, with notes of Belgian yeast spice, and cloves. There is a slight strawberry/fruit presence as well. The flavor profile is interesting, as it opens up very Belgian-like. Yeast spice and clove open things up, with a strawberry/fruit presence taking over the palate before falling back into yeast spice/biscuit malt base. It's very simplistic and easy to drink. The fruit notes are kept in balance. Mouth feel is harshly carbonated, a little sticky and mouth coating with a medium consistency overall. Overall, it's a very fun brew. As it warms the fruit shows up a bit more, but the mouth feel gets a little more bubbly/harsh. It feels at home drinking it on my screened-in porch.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of strawberry, wheat and caramel. Sweet strawberry flavor with a wheat backbone.

this sounds gimmicky and sweet for a summer beer, like something worth tasting but not purchasing, or like a beer you only like til it warms enough to turn into a sugar bomb, but its a lot better than that. hazy and maybe just a hint pink, but its quite subtle in color, looks like a hefe, thick and cloudy, nice head. smells like sweet strawberry jam at a diner, but isnt quite as sweet as that, and in the taste is actually cleaned up pretty well by an almost flavorless but quite functional yeast strain. the fruit is there all the way, even in the finish, and it lingers a bit, but not in a sugary way on the teeth, but just in flavor on the tongue. medium bodied wheaty base, simple but well executed. a little dense for high volume consumption and it could use a little more carbonation for a summer beer, but its just that, a beer, and for all the syrupy fruited wheat beer haters out there, give this one a try, its a real nice change of pace, even a little tart up front. great when ice cold.
