Poured from a can. Dark in color with a tan head and light lacing. Smells of roasted grain, malt and a hint of sweetness. Taste of roasted grain and dark fruit.

12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of chocolate, toffee, toasted caramel and hints of coffee. Sweet toffee, chocolate and roasted malt taste with a mild bitterness.

12 oz can, slightly chilled, poured into a tulip glass.
Smells of roasted malts and grain. Pours with a light brown head that dissipates quickly; no lacing. Tastes of roasted malts, with light chocolate and coffee notes and a slight and unoffending bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is soft and slightly syrupy.
Delightful beer and a good example of the English Porter style.
