This beer makes its appearance around one of Rolla's more unique holiday celebrations, St Patrick's Day. An instant success during this celebration our Irish Red is a moderately malt forward ale with a deep red color. Low in hop aroma with a nutty almost toffee-like fragrance, this is one of our more anticipated releases of the year.

This was one of the first beers I ever tried. A year later now, and this batch still holds up
Pours a nice deep red with a good bit of head that fades pretty quickly. Smell is of delicious exotic bread and lightly roasted grain. Rye, maybe? Taste follow the smell; It has a nice body and a smooth, rich maltiness and the right amount of bitterness at the end. Goes down smooth.
Overall a really nice beer. Better than average for Public House in my opinion.

Lets get this out of the way. I am an Irish red ale kind of guy. Ambiguous and pervasive as bad examples are I find most drinkable at the least. I always try this style of brew when available. I have waited 1 long year to try this beer a second time. I I feel this is an average irish reds but really want to be sure. So when I get a sixer I will update this review.
Update yes it is average not bad but not great.

Pours a clear, mahogany color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, strong caramel malt, English hops, yeast, hint of wood, and a hint of pale malt. Fits the style of an Irish Red Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean with low carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, strong caramel malt, English hops, yeast, hint of wood, and a hint of pale malt. Overall, weak appearance, good aroma, body, and blend.

Poured from a can. Reddish brown in color with almost no head. Smells of bread and caramel. Taste follows the smell but it all feels some what muted.

Beige foamy head sits a top a dark burgundy liquid. Yeast, rye, caramel and malts form a sweet aroma that gets cut mid-flavor profile from the rye. First impression on taste is it's a little dry. Sweet malts get cut by some rye, while remaining somewhat musky. It has a tinge of caramel to it. Interesting flavor profile. Mouth feel is dry as well. Good consistency, and easy to drink. Overall, a good Irish red. Not something I would go out of my way for, or anything.

Decent Irish Red, has all the right notes. Just not a stand out and is a bit heavy for the style. Also had a bit of an old flavor to it, even though the bottle was only a month and a half old.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, amber color with a small, tan head of bubbly foam. Sweet toffee, roasted malt and earthy notes. Very earthy with some roasted malt.

Very nice looking, a mid-red with tinges of brown, slightly hazy, with a fine looking head and good lacing. Mellow but notable fuggles hops accent a delicious maltiness, with lots of caramel and bready notes. The body is very rich and creamy, leaving a great malty red finish. A very delicious beer! Not even my favorite style at all, but I gladly ordered a second one of these while I was there! Great Job!
