Pours a huge fluffy 4 finger head that fades semi slowly after taking up half the glass, nice soapy lacing, somehow crystal clear straw yellow color.

Nose brings mostly wheat, grainy toasty wheat, some grassy notes, mild spices like coriander notes, some orange peel citrus and a little lemony notes, lemongrass, and some lemon zest, as well as mild lemony grassy hop, bit floral.

Taste brings citrus hops, floral grassy citrus hops, lemony hops, grassy lemony hops too, with mild bitterness. Plenty of wheat as well, toasty grainy wheat, with a little grist, but somehow not really creamy but mild spices, and some orange peel notes. More lemongrass and lemony flavors. Finish is dry and fairly bitter with a lingering grassy lemony slight earthy hop note, and a touch of grainy wheat.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, not really creamy somehow, lots of fluffy carbonation.

Overall interesting, I do like the blend of the hefe citrus with spices with the nice lemony grassy hops, they seem to go well together, decent wheat in there, but not sure how they got it so clear, and less creamy, maybe it was flaked wheat or they cold crashed, or gelatin, it's still interesting and an enjoyable beer.

Appearance: Somewhat hazy, washed out copper color. Loads of light carbonation; effervescent. Initially there was a huge 3+ finger creamy head; this died down quickly leaving an uneven thin coating of foam on the surface of the beer and a slight amount of lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell: Citrus, wheat and slightly hoppy.

Taste: Citrus (think predominately grapefruit with a lemon), mildly acidic, with a nice mild hoppy finish. Nice and different, but in some ways kind of bland as the taste was very mild. Nothing spectacular.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body, slightly fizzy with a mild dry finish. Wasn't very refreshing. Left my mouth somewhat dry making me want a glass of water after.

Overall: I would certainly drink another if someone served me this beer again. It would be nice served cold on a hot day. However there are so many better beers out there that I don't see me purchasing this beer again. Being a local brewery to me I really wanted to love this beer; but it is nothing special.

No date, batch #1, released maybe two weeks ago (in bottles anyway)?

A: Clear golden pour with a big, fizzy and effervescent off-white head. Head fizzes out fairly quick with minimal lacing left behind. Decent island of foam at least.

S: Definitely hoppier than your normal hefe. Banana of course but quite a bit of citrus. Lightly spicy.

T: Oh yeah, quite hoppy. Lots of lemongrass up front with a bitter citrus background. Grapefruit and lemons primarily. Light dank spiciness. Banana mingles in, mainly in the middle. Dry, dry cracker-like malt. Little wave of citrus and lemongrass bitterness in the finish with more drying crackers.

M: Light, crisp and dry body. Nice bitterness.

O: A hoppy hefe for sure. Traditional hefe flavors with some extra complexity from the hops. It's an IPH maybe? :) Nice citrus, nice banana and nice spiciness. Very dry, super dry in fact. A tasty and unique take on the traditional hefe.

A- Golden hue, slightly cloudy

S- Light banana, clove, typical hefe, but with some earthy hop notes

T - Follows nose, the hops compliment the beer nicely. Cuts down on the Hefe phenols, and adds a nice earthy hop bite

M - nicely carbonated, light body, real nice.

O- a really good offering from idle Hands. Perfect porch beer for the summer.
