A: Pours thick dark brown (ruby) with very thick foamy head (3/3)
S: Strong apple and raisiny caramel nose with hint of alcohol (9/12)
T: Caramel/toffee flavor dominates with a little bit of fruitiness especially in the aftertaste (16/20)
M: Bubbly throughout and really dry on the finish (5/5)
O: Can’t find anything wrong with the beer, but I’ve certainly had better Belgians with a smoother spice/toffee/fruit balance. If you’re looking for a solid dubbel, this is certainly one. I’ve just had better. (7/10)
