Very very dark with a big fluffy tan head that coats the glass as it recedes, leaving a tan film that lingers.
Aroma is chocolate, a little chalky, hint of coconut.
Flavor is big chocolate and coconut, Bourbon on the finish, dark fruit as well.
Feels substantial, firmly bitter though a bit hot on the finish.
One if the better Bourbon barrel stouts I've had from a Massachusetts brewery. Not a sweet as many, very nice beer.

Pours a pitch black with some tan head. The head doesn't really build. Seems like low carb. A good thing in this case. Smells like a light amount of bourbon, chocolate, and coconut. I'm intrigued. It's super soft. The booze doesn't really present itself to me. If anything, it's a little thin. More coconut upfront, which is new to me. Not just any chocolate, but dark chocolate on the finish. Super nice BA stout.
