A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a clear light gold topped by a dense and rocky head that was pushing four fingers before it started to finally fade leaving excellent lacing. This is the first beer that I have ever poured that seemed to continue to grow despite having stopped pouring for quite a while. A little after build is expected but this thing took it to a whole new level and kept it there.
S: Smells of grassy and peppery notes with some slight herbalness. Hints of sweetness on the nose as well. Slightly chalky and fruity too. Interesting nose
T: Taste is slight tartness with a lot of herbal notes. Hints of fruity esters as well with some grassy qualities. Dry pale malts provide a bit of balance. Swallow is dry pale malts, more herbalness, some peppery yeast and slight lingering tartness.
M: This beer has a medium amount of body with effervescent carbonation that is slightly prickly. The beer has a drying finish as well which is to be expected.
O: Overall this is a really good beer with some interesting flavors and a boatload of complexity. I think it almost has a little too much going on as it sometimes seems a little disjointed. The flavors sometimes clash a little more than expected instead of complementing one another. Very interesting beer and worth a try.
