Canned 11/18/18. Also going to compare this to BJCP guidelines to start my training
Pours a large frothy fizzy bubbly 2 finger head that retains very well, great soapy Belgian lacing, very clear golden pale color
Nose is quite aromatic as expected, plenty of Belgian yeast additions, light peppery phenols, big fruity esters bringing a little citrus, fair bubblegum (maybe the wrong ester here), mild pome fruits, touch of grainy malt in the background, mild grassy hops
Taste brings a mix of spicy/floral hops and spicy phenols out front, phenols bring plenty of spice as expected, hops bring floral with a little spicy flavors, esters bring mild citrus fruit and a little pear, but a bit of bubblegum in the background, just a bit of grainy malt, medium to a bit moderate bitterness, but nice balance. Dry finish, lingering bitter hops and mild spicy phenols lingering
Mouth is medium to lighter body, nice effervescent tingly carbonation
Overall fairly well done for the style, as expected for Mystic, a bit aggressive on the hops for my liking but within style guidelines so not bad, nice phenols, nice esters although not sure if the bubblegum is appropriate

The brewer call this beer a Brut Saison. It connotes a dry taste/finish.
Very enjoyable beer. Light golden color, 3F head. Sweet fragrant aroma, unusual fruity taste, and enjoyable dry finish. I really like the Brut approach to a Saison as I do in an IPA.
