man, so many craft beers in costa rica try to be like a better imperial lager, but that just doesnt happen, and the divide between craft and macro has never been exposed in a more lousy way for the craft guys than in a beer like this, an attempt at a blonde ale to be refreshing and beachy from what i can imagine, but its just so far off for me, my least favorite i had on our trip from these guys by far. heavy for what its trying to be, really flat from the tap, and sort of old and uninspired tasting, it really let me down, which is odd considering how good a lot off their other beers were, but that was true of a lot of the local blondes and goldens, trying to dip into that beach beer market and just not getting there. this is sweet, apple tasting in a weird way, and honey finished, like, not what i am looking for in a warm climate blonde at all. lacking bubbles too really hurts it, but the idea is there, which is maybe even more troubling, its obvious what they were going for yet its this far off. mediocre beer at best, at least on tap at joes in tamarindo it is, i liked everything else i had from them heaps more...

This was the best beer I encountered in Costa Rica so far. It still doesn't compare to American counterparts but I works. Lighter bodied and slightly tropical to fight off the Costa Rican heats. I you come across it, it's worth buying over the imperial and pilsens that are so common

Nice peach coloured ale. Metallic smelling.
Very much tastes like a pilsner with a tiny hint of fruity hops and earthiness. Gets slightly estery as it warms. Pretty similar to Cooper's Sparkling Ale.
Very refreshing but I wouldn't pack a suitcase full of it.
