Served on tap at the Wolverine State Brewery in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
A: Pours a very dark, brown to black color with ruby highlight, a one finger, tan head, ring and cap plus retention, and solid rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of dark, unsweetened chocolate, black coffee, molasses/brown sugar, and caramel.
T: Dry. Flavor pallet similar to the nose, but mostly black coffee and cocoa. Solid, solid bitterness.
M: Rather light bodied and certainly no more than medium with strong carbonation. Drinks lightly and cleanly.
O: To be clear, this is identified at the brewery as a "Dry Stout Lager," but since BA doesn't have a conforming category, I have added it as an American Lager, clearly in the most general sense. This was really very good; wish I could get some more of it.
