Pours dark amber color with a medium white head on top. Smells like watered down caramel and malt. Has a sweet grainy taste as it warms up. With a citrus after taste.

Stunning coppery red color when held up to the light in a 20 oz. glass, on tap at T. Dubs Pizza in Frankenmuth Michigan.
Not much aroma but enough to tell it's a red ale.
Extremely well balanced flavor with mild (not at all like molasses or cloying) sweetness and very mild hoppiness.
Mouth feel is a bit creamy.
It finishes a bit dry.
Extremely tasty and well-balanced, along with the gorgeous color puts this beer close to the top of my list of best red, amber and Octoberfest ales!

As a fest bier, this is outstanding, as a marzen, it's light on malts and mouthfeel. That stated, as an Oktoberfest beverage, it is eminently quaffable and has sufficient flavor to flip those fest switches, I could indeed drink these by the liter.

Solid. Not usually super into Oktoberfest beers but this one is pretty good.

No canning date (released on 9/7/21, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 9/14/21
Pours a clear, deep bronzed amber hue capped with just over a finger of almost creamy, off-white foam; decent head retention leaves a paper-thin veil of cap, a moderate, frothy collar, and firm, layered rings of lacing encircling the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with a hard minerality into sweet caramel with a tinge of roasty toffee; black bread dough is more forward over the middle as hints of earthy chocolate malt and a slight nuttiness ease through the close.
Taste features a roasty, mineral-encrusted toffee predominance, with red apple peel cutting with levity over the mid-palate before an increased char resumes; light caramel undertones, soft grass, and bread crusts mark the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a medium-light body with moderate, prickly carbonation; a mild grit over the mid-palate precedes a wavering consistency into the back end, where a drying, charry texture intensifies.
At times trending oddly charry, the more basic, unrefined malt profile comes through across this Märzen, though the pronounced yeast and mineral tones do balance the fluctuating bittersweetness for a final product more serviceable.

A pleasant American Oktoberfest. On the heavier side with a roasty/smokey flavor reminiscent of an amber ale. Not my favorite oktoberfest but not bad either. Probably wouldn't buy again due to the relatively high price.

16 ounce can into dimpled mug, canned on 8/1/2018. Pours slightly hazy dark orange/copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, crust, dough, toasted biscuit, light nutty, and herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and mild earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, crust, dough, toasted biscuit, light nutty, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, crust, dough, toasted biscuit, light nutty, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of dark/bready malt and mild earthy hop flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying flavors after the finish. Nicely clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes present. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a very good Oktoberfest. All around nice complexity and robustness of dark/bready malt and mild earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. A bit darker on the malts than expected, but delicious. Very clean and rich dark/Munich malt complexity, with mild noble hop balance against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example as expected.
