Wasn't sure how to do this one. Already listed is a sour DO and a barrel aged DO but not both. So I added this one I guess understanding that this may be the same beer as the others listed.
It may be a bit unfair as I haven't yet had the other sour BA beers from Harriet, but with this one I got a lot of sour and BA but had a hard time finding the DO. There was a decent tartness, some wood character. There seemed to be a bit of a wine character (wine barrel?). The body had the feeling of a stronger Bel pale ale with a little heft and a decent smoothness. What I didn't pick up as phenols or spicing. For a bigger beer the alcohol was not apparent either.
Golden colored and somewhat cloudy. I'd be interested in trying their other sour BA and comparing.
