A: Light golden hue with white head that thins out.
S: A light grain smell with some lemon and citrus notes.
T: Lemon and wheat character that's smooth and has a clean finish. But the malt has little dimension or depth. It's a fairly thin beer.
M: Moderate carbonation and smooth.
D: A pleasing drinkable beer but there are many better examples in the category

This cloudy amber weizen smells and tastes like fresh doughy bread seasoned with clove and a little banana. Has a medium body and slightly above average carbonation. Refreshing and drinkable.

Poured on-tap into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a hazed dark golden yellow with faint white head that quickly dissipates.
S: Wonderfully full banana and clove aroma. Spot on!
T: Banana, clove, and soft wheat. Unfortunately a bit weaker than the aroma promised.
M: Very soft, smooth, and creamy. Light-medium body.
D: A solid, but not outstanding example of style. Started out very nice, but couldn't keep it going. Still a nicely refreshing summer offerring.

On tap at the Harriet Brewing tap room.
Appearance: Cloudy deep golden color with a nice creamy white foam head that lasts a good long time. Leaves nice lacing behind throughout.
Smell: Sweet yeast and wheat arome with hints of banana and bubble gum. Just like a good Hefe should smell.
Taste: Sweet and refereshing, with flavors of banana, clove, wheat and light roasted malts. In a word: Delicious!
Mouthfeel: Creamy and slippery on the tongue with low-to-medium carbonation.
Overall: I love a good Hefeweizen and I spent a couple years in Germany drinking many different brands of Hefe's...this one stands right there alongside them, and that is high praise. I have taken home several growlers of this from Harriet over the years.
