At the tap room, in a Harriet Brewing tall weizen glass
A: hazy rusty sepia, with some glints of gold and amber at the edges, 2 finger head
S: very very ripe banana, clove, toasted wheat bread, dark malts
T: follows the nose. full flavors, nice yeast and spice notes.
M: creamy, smooth, medium carbonation, eminently quaffable.
Overall: this is one of the better ones I've had from these guys. Would drink again in a heartbeat.

Murky brown color with two plus fingers of head that slowly settled to a thick cap. Heavy lacing is left down the glass.

Dark malt aroma covers up some of the weizen yeast elements. Hints of cloves, banana, and dark wheat bread.

Nice wheat flavor that has a slight twang. Dark banana bread flavor with some cloves. A touch of astringency that leads me to believe this was not Harriet's best batch.

A little undercarbonated from the fresh growler. Otherwise a solid, bold body that feels larger than the ABV would suggest.

Harriet Brewing does not disappoint. A good dunkelweizen is always nice to have around.

On tap. Poured a murky, light brown color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of roasted malt, banana and clove. Sweet maltiness with wheat, banana and spiciness.

Harriet Brewing Woluptuweiss Dunkel Weizen. 5.4% ABV. I love a good dunkel weizen. (Dunkel is German for dark, weizen means wheat, of course.) All the smooth drinkability of a great German wheat beer, with more dark complexity of character. Best of both worlds. And here's one from Harriet!

Unfiltered. Utterly hazed. Dark reddish brown. Smal, creamy white head.

Aroma: wheatness and sweetness. Little bit of fruit, little bit of caramel and toffee tones, dark malts meet citrus-y notes. Banana and clove are here, too. Medium bodied, super-smooth, and completely consumable.

I love a good dunkel weizen. I'm glad this is one of them.

This beer pours a brown color with amber hues around the edges. The aroma is of banana, clove, hints of milk chocolate, and stone fruit. The taste is a full rich experience. Stone fruit, banana, chocolate and clove. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with one of the silkiest textures I've ever encountered. The carbonation is lively. Overall, this is another great wheat beer from Harriet. I will be drinking the hell out of this.
