We hooked up with Other Half again to bring you ANOTHER iteration of one of our fave collabs!
Woe unto those who underestimate Cracklin’ Crumbs! Despite its unassuming first impression, this juicy IPA is brimming with bright wild muscadine, ripe Alphonso mango cream and subtle Meyer lemon zest notes. We dry hopped this delightful brew with a heavy hand, adding a Motueka-heavy blend of New Zealand Hops on top of a robust dosage of Phantasm Powder from Phantasm NZ.

Milky blonde with loose white head that fades; pineapple, strawberry, lemon oil + a bit of dank on the nose; biscuit, Lemonhedz, lime curd, dried pineapple chunks, cotton candy, fresh nectarine, yellow plum, berry jam, hay and a whisper of dank; salty fizzy, light, clean, soft.

Motueka, Revolution blend (NS, Motueka, Pacific Sunrise, Riwaka) and *Phantasm*
So: Phantasm is dehydrated powdered Sauvignon Blanc skins that are loaded with thiols - the same thiols that bump up hop flavour. So this is kinda like adding MSG to takeout, I guess?
It promises a lot on the nose, where bits of berry (that’s Pac Sun) and intense citrus peel stand out from the usual NEIPA fruit salad. But can it deliver?
In spades. It starts with piquant citrus and light tropical, shifts into high candied notes, drops in fresh picked stone fruit, and ends with hints of pine sap. It’s a proper fun fair roller coaster.
Bits of basil (that’s Motueka) and more oily components that don’t usually show up are popping out, too - low on grape, if anything, ironically.
Seven weeks old to the day, so this is peaking. And Parish + OH are masters. I’m sure Phantasm will fall into less capable hands soon. For now, though, I’m a believer.
Tropical juice pool party of the summer.
