We’re excited to announce another strong collaboration with our good friends at Other Half!
Yes, you’re awake! This is what happens when Parish’s DDH Ghost DNA meets Other Half’s Double Citra Daydream magic: DDH Ghost Daydream. Featuring only Citra hops in obscene quantities throughout, this Oat Cream variant of our most popular DIPA gets the Other Half flaked oats + milk sugar treatment to create a hop bomb with a finish so soft you’ll be wondering if this is real life or just a dream.

Manifested 7/22/25 (whoops). Drank on 3/26/2026.
Malt coming into the foreground, bitterness comes on a bit strong. But all-in-all, very impressed w/ the life this still has. Orange peel & pineapple on the nose, hint of papaya. Palate loaded w/ citrus; bitter, grassy hops.

Pours a very cloudy, opaque, dark yellow color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is good. Lacing is very good. Very juicy and fresh tropical and vanilla cream aroma. Juicy, creamy tropical, floral taste with vanilla. The aroma permeates the air just standing near it. Heavy bodied with moderate carbonation. Very good beer. Best I have had in a while.

3-week-old can poured into a large stemless wine glass. When I originally had this I thought it was DDH GITM so I judged it directly against the OG Ghost, which is one of my very favorite beers. Have now realized my err so moving my review to the correct location.
The OG Ghost in the Machine is an all-timer for me so I'm always excited to try related variants. Bought a 4-pack of cans so I'm excited to try this one at different ages and will update this review if need be. At 3 weeks I was a little worried that the DDH treatment wouldn't actually be additive, especially for a single-hopped beer where there's only so much goodness you can squeeze out of (albeit amazing) Citra. And I think that's the case on this first can with the look and feel being very much in line with the OG (I hade the OG on tap the same night to provide a baseline), the aroma profile being a half-grade more enhanced, but the flavor profile being a half-grade lower due to the extra starchiness and green "bite."
Quintessential hazy, juicy look with a nice head but perhaps a little less lacing than traditional GITM. Maybe the oats and lactose at work? Regardless, absolutely glowing and gorgeous.
Near-perfect mix of dank, weedy, almost oniony (which I love) greens, bold orange, tangerine, citrus, and pithy grapefruit, a little underripe mango and overripe tropical fruit medley, pine resin, and clover honey. It isn't as layered and nuanced as other worldclass, multi-hop hazies because the focus is wholly on Citra. But if you're going to highlight a single hop there isn't a better choice, and this is an absolutely exceptional representation. Fresh and bold with a lovely mineral note at the tail end.
Taste is all of the above, with the tropical fruits taking a leading role. Really a perfect amount of sweetness from the fruit juices, with wonderful pithiness and resiny bitterness as balance. The aftertaste lingers beautifully with that same set of balanced notes. The only negative is the increased starchy green note from the DDH treatment. As the beer warms, that aspect decreases slightly. And it certainly doesn't do meaningful damage to the overall experience. But it's definitely harsher than OG GITM without anything additive on the tongue.
Wonderful coating and silky lusciousness without being chewy or heavy. Outstanding. I expected this to be an area of improvement over the OG given the oat cream treatment, but maybe I don't properly understand what that does to a beer feel-wise. It's very similar in this area, though that's a compliment.
I think the OG (or at least the OG up until a year ago) is just a hair better, but I'm picking nits and very interested to see what a few more weeks in the can does to this awesome DDH collab with a fantastic brewery like Other Half.
