Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear medium amber-brown color with 1/2 inch of light tan head that had very good retention and lacing.
The aroma was a full, even blend of earthy malts and gentle hops. The flavors were pretty similar, with the hops being a bit brighter, and the easy sweetness balancing nicely.
The body was very nice, full, smooth and even. Drinkability was very good, my pint was gone quickly, and I could easily have a few. Overall, a very nice, traditional example of the style. Not an over-hopped, "IPA-Light" version like so many American examples of the style. Close to a must try.
