another amazing beer from these guys. this one is a brett table saison, a style i think we absolutely need more of in this world. what a textbook example of how good it can be, orangey with a nice head on it, airy and leaving web lacing along the way to the bottom. it smells fantastic, a more mature brett depth than i have gotten in a lot of their others. it also has a very distinct red pepper quality in the aroma and taste. i sometimes get that in brett beers, but i never really can identify its source. mango notes from the hops with a little bitter dried hay, hoppy for what it is, i like that. dry as a bone, well carbonated, and quite rustic and funky. this is what i think of when i think of farmhouse ale, nothing belgian about it in terms of the yeast complexion, and more body than a lot of beer has thats so low in abv. a wonderful example of the style, infinitely drinkable, quite delicious and distinctive. the commons holds a very special place in my beer heart, which i suppose is my regular heart... oh well

If I remember correctly, this is a hoppy wheat saison. Hops are noble and classic American? Light and effervescent, creamy and a bit cloudy as expected from wheat. With a cheese plate and charcuterie, just right.
