Golden, hazy pour from the 16oz can, topped with a whipped off-white cap of head. Solid dose of tropical, juicy hops right off the bat along with a good bit of malty breadiness with a hint of booze. Overripe island fruit, mild coconut, malty sweetness, creamy mouthfeel, this feels like a double IPA for sure. Not bad.

Picked this up a month or so ago down at Gary's in Madison, as this had quite the unusual label and I hadn't had anything from Anchorage in quite some time. No doubt that this was a New England IPA through and through as it was golden, hazy, and quite soft on the palate, although it took me a while to warm up to this - as that was the case even as this warmed up!
Not surprising that this had a golden hue to it, as it was quite muted while allowing a decent amount of light through. A sufficient head topped it off as it settled unevenly but aside from a few thin rings near the top, there wasn't any lacing left to be seen as I worked my way through this. Tons of spicy bread and overrripe tropical fruit in the nose as the taste contained those as well as the Passion hops and enough booze to give this the heft it needed. Quite easy to warm up while drinking this as there hints of white wine and citrus pith in the mix but for some reason, this was just a bit too strong to be on par with beers of this style from these parts.
Sweet, balanced, and dank in the back, this was light in carbonation but plenty sticky on my lips once this fully went down as the heft never let up during the my session. It looked like this was dated 2/15 of this year with "ORIGIN" written above it, but it was hard to tell given how squeezed the text was. This somehow checked of all of the boxes but wasn't anything impressive, as it was a wake-up call after not having a beer for nearly two weeks. At least I get to add the label to my collection!

Disclaimer: I wanted to try but this isn’t my style - don’t like my IPAs too juicy.
Poured some into a glass and enjoyed the rest from a 16oz can.
Look was good, a bit of a light yellow orange that is fully hazy. Good head and leaves some streaking.
Smell was robust and quite liked, tropical fruit with a bit of hops.
Lost me on the taste. Sweetness of fruit hits right at the beginning and finishes with a mundane hoppiness. Cynically, was like bubble gum with a touch of hop but more aptly was probably mango with a light piney finish. Not too carbonated and the bitterness lingers but not too long.
As warned, not my style in general. Guess this reinforced it further.

Yeah, imagine Anchorage called up Donkey Kong and was like, “Hey Donkey, wanna cruise over to this frigid oasis and brew a beer for us?” And Donkey replied, “Roooooar! Heeee rahhhh Hoooo Rahhhh” (Translated: Ok.) And that’s pretty much what I think of this beer. So good DK himself brewed it.
Peace!

16 oz can from Tavour. Thick, hazy pour, small, lasting creamy head. Aroma is tropical fruit with some earthy hops at the back, which become more pronounced as it warms. Hops up front in the taste, mild fruit notes and sweetness. Creamy feel. Anchorage strikes again.

Pours a hazy orange with a one inch white head that left tons of lacing. Smell is rather mild with some mango and citrus. Tastes of ripe mango, orange, orange peel and sweet malts. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, smooth mouth feel and minimal bitterness.
