Cloudy, orange-yellow body; one-finger thick head, dense and creamy, very long lasting. Quiet yet distinctly citrus aroma, primary orange. Nice flavor; predominantly orange and grapefruit; a touch of biscuit note in the background; boozy, citrusy bitterness. Heavy body; slightly acidic with some boozy bite; a bit silky in a lactose kind of way.
I nice double New England style IPA, nothing special per se, yet definitely enjoyable.
Poured at 52° F; no canning data seen.

I have a few of Anchorage Brewing stout hibernating in my cellar. I have tried this beer before and it was delicious. The artwork is outstanding. The pour created a massive three-fingered head. The head is off-white creamy and foamy with excellent retention. The lacing was tatted on the glass after the head dissipated. The color is SRM 4, pale straw with light golden hues. This beer is hazy, typical for this style.
The initial aromas in the beer are pineapple, oranges, and passion fruit. Nosing further, I detect crackers, biscuit, dankness, floral esters, fruity esters, a touch of pine, and a subtle note of grapefruit.
The flavors in the beer are biscuit, floral esters, pineapple, lemons, oranges, grapefruit, floral esters, herbal, dankness, a touch of pine, passionfruit,
The mouthfeel of the beer is creamy, astringent, and crisp.
The body of the beer is medium, medium carbonation, and a full finish.
The vibe for this beer is a hybrid. Lots of tropical and orange flavor with some pine and grapefruit. The beer is good, I am not a fan.

Got his one off of Tavour and I was really hoping for more. Of course it was a few months old and was shipped across country and probably sat in a warm warehouse and truck. I don't think I'll do Tavour again but this one was not too bad. I'd like to try it fresh.

A: The beer is very hazy and a darker shade of yellow. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Faint aromas of basil-like herbs are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of lime and lychee along with hints of basil herbs. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount carbonation.
O: The aromas and flavors of this IPA aren't overly complex but it is rather easy to drink considering its strength.

16 oz can. Never had a beer from Alaska before so was very curious. Overall verdict - decent but not great. Didn't observe much of a head. Also, not much aroma until it warms up a bit. Good mouthfeel. Taste is fruity but more than citrus. Not as bitter as I might expect from a double NE IPA, either at first or on the finish. Solid drinkable beer, but not stellar.

16 oz can from Tavour. Pours out orange golden with a thin, soft foamy head. Light citrus aroma, orange. Taste is also subdued, citrusy and juicy. Gentle orange peel bitterness.

Hazy orange with a perfect head. Citrus to the nose and the taste of orange juice and passion fruit.

16oz canned 11/15/19. Opened 2/8/20.
1/2" white head falls to a solid cap and holds there. Hazy orange-gold DDHDIPA. Full lacing.
Subtle tropical aromas led by mango fruit. Some lime notes are evident as well. Oranges. Some herbal quality.
Orange. Tangerine. Melon. Mango. Lime. Some light green and zesty herbal notes.
Full body and soft, round mouthfeel. Carbonation level is appropriate. Very little bitterness in a fruity, hop soaked, clean finish. Slight alcohol heat from 8.4%.
Good to very good.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/19/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.4%. Overall this is a fantastic NEDIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft feel for the style. Fantastic Motueka, Citra, and Vic Secret profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected. Very consistent NE style IPAs across the board so far.
