16oz can from Tavour. Hazy pour, small foamy head. Light tropical, fruity, aroma. Taste continues the trend, sweet, funky tropical flavors, melon, guava leading into a mildly bitter finish.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Dated 03/27/20. Gift from @mr-jj.

Pours a hazy light amber with a small head and lots of fine, slow carbonation. Smell is guava and passionfruit (probably would have said "vaguely tropical" if the label didn't call those out). A little bit of piney resin in the background.

Taste is super, super juicy, with just enough resin to make it still seem beery. Still quite sweet.

Mouthfeel is thinnish and a little slick. Overall, tasty beer.

Pours a murky bright orange with a finger and a half of white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is grapefruit, papaya, orange and lemongrass. Tropical fruits are lightly tart, but still centered on sweet. Flavor profile is grapefruit, papaya, tangerine, orange and lemongrass. Great tropical fruits that feature a little grapefruit tartness for added depth. Big time flavor. Mouth feel is lightly chalky, but that powder is very minimal, adding a little texture to each sip. Thickness is medium. Overall, tropical fruits are great here and not centered on the usual tropical fruit qualities.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 3/27/20, so 7 weeks old.

Orange/pear juice colored body. Initial decent white head dissipates to nothing halfway through. No lacing. Excellent artwork on the can.

Dank aroma. Not my favorite smell

However, considering my dank bias, this is actually a good tasting beer. A little fruit, slightly warm, though the 9.5abv is way in the background.

Mouth close to full, finish a bitter slightly sweet dankness.

Overall, from the aroma I wasn't expecting to enjoy this beer, but pleasantly surprised. Nicely crafted Anchorage

L: Chalky OJ, like calcium-added Simply Orange Juice. A thin long lasting veil of cream speckles the glass.

S: Intense passionfruit to my surprise as few live up to this promise. The guava is there subtly. A European herbal hop quality.

T: Much more fruit on the palate, along with that signature Anchorage almost-booze-mineral quality. A little dank, well-bittered, and quiet good. Powerful flavors not for the faint of heart!!!!

F: Sumptuous.

O: This is a belly full. I would have loved for a stronger bouquet, but I like the offer and am glad I got two.

Update. Flashes of eucalyptus and guava as I near the end, leave me longing. I’m raising the taste a quarter point.

Second update on second can: Could clearly smell better today. The passionfruit was overdone IMO and I’ve never said that. Nose fully assaulted, but that is better than smelling little so bring sell up from 4 to 4.25.

Canned 3/27, consumed 4/22. Hazy orange-gold with a tall foamy off-white head. Strongly dank and tropically fruity on the nose. Flavors of passionfruit, melon, and papaya are buttressed by a dank and herbal earthiness. The finish is softly bitter and dry. So good, it's hard not to just pound it. But it packs a high ABV punch and one is enough.
