Pours a light chill haze pale golden, small white head fed by steams of rising bubbles.
Aroma is dry light wheat, brett, funk, oak, white grapes, pear.
Taste is light wheat, funk and brett, dry oak with earthy notes, light fruity pear, white grapes, some spice from hops and yeast.
Mouthfeel is lighter side but still has some body, smooth carbonation even with all the rising bubbles.
Overall very tastey or just in the mood for a good porch Saison.

L-Big two to three fingered rocky head with a nice hazy golden color in the body. I love the truly live carbonation that builds from the base of this beer.
S-Funky wild brett barnyard tang at the front. Floral, fruity ester sweetness builds in the aroma as well. Spicey, multi grain is present. White wine backing to the aroma. Small amount of orange juice to the end.
T-Slightly sweet, grainy bitterness is there. Funky brett is noticeable too. Nice phenolic, clove and banana notes are present at the end. I also get some tangy wheatgrass. Nice hop presence. Very earthy. Slight maltiness towards the end.
F-Solid fizzy and light bodied mouthfeel.
O-A pretty exceptionally made bare-bone earthy and classic saison. Would absolutely have again.

foedre saison with brett, gorgeous beer, love this side of anchorage brewing, despite all the hype around their stouts, ipa types, and barleywines, all of which are also epic, but they have a great handle on the funk, and this is simplicity at its finest after a whole slew of these that have had all kinds of fruits and wine barrels and heavy dry hoppings and everything else, its cool to sort of go back to the basics with this, a simple and rustic grain bill, the time on oak, and the ferment, thats really it, and i dug this hard. its pale golden color, light in the glass with an airy inch of white head from the tap, big bubbles constantly rising to join it. the nose here is really horsey and farmy and dried out, not overly woody and so obviously mature as brett can sometimes show, but this is a brux type and its really identifiable as the lead element to me, earthy wheat and crackery pils type malt too, minerals, subtle white wine, clover, and petrichor. the taste is definitely brett driven but i get a little classic saison ester too, white wine, pear, green apple, and faint tang, but there really isnt a bacterial sour element along with the funk at all, this is pure farmy funk. i like how dry the grain is but how flavorful it is too, and this has some body for looking so light, must be the wheat. nice carbonation, possibly keg conditioned, soft and small like that. subtle on the wood, really earthy, very drinkable. even without fruit or anything this does not present like a base beer or anything, it needs nothing and i like its stripped down nature.
