Lighter brown opaque pour with a tan cap, spotted lazy lacing. So the nose is a foreshadowing: very hoppy and even somewhat fruity with the bourbon soaking the grapefruit, white grape and other citrus tones. Taste is so hoppy, in a style that just doesn't need it. Ruined a nice ba barleywine base. Chewy and warm but very astringent to the point of thinning the body and overwhelming the brief but rich barrel. Why?
