A hazy golden amber in color with a thin off-white head. Smells like a Christmas tree. Taste is a massive piney mouth coating bitterness. Just a hint of caramel to try and balance. Make no mistake though, this is a hopheads beer. Mouthfeel is a touch light, good medium carbonation. Overall very good. More like a light IPA, this beer is more bitter than at least half of the IPAs I've had.

16oz->Nonic
A ~ Pours hazy golden orange with spotty lacing & great retention.
S ~ Orange Jam, Yeast, bit of trees & a bit of zest...was looking for a little more?
T ~ Taste follows through a little better. Earthy malt flavors with lemon peel & a bit of random spice notes that I cannot put my finger on. There is also Golden Apple, French Roll, & grass. The slightest touch of sap on the back of the throat, but I long for more. Always tastes very fresh.
M ~ Very smooth through Nitrous, but I prefer it through Co2. The flavors of the beer just come through a little more pronounced that way.
D ~ Would buy again & again. Very affordable & drinkable Pale Ale. Chase should def consider re-fermenting this in bottles.

Made sure this was the first beer I tried on tap at main Main St Tavern my second visit.
Pours a semi-hazed amber with a finger of beige head. Head retention & is above average& lacing was very nice
S: Bready, grainy, with some apple peel notes, plus a touch of pine
T: Follows the nose up front. Pineyness & a touch of tangerine & grapefruit as this warms, along with wheat breadyness/sweetness & a touch of toffee. Finishes crisp & refreshing but not enough hops to really carry the day
MF: Light/medium bodied, grainy with firm carbonation & pretty nice balance
Drank easy & would happily session on this, needs more hops to really balance out a tad too much grainy breadyness

On tap at Saints in OKC.
Hazy Orange dense off white head fills the pint glass. Thick lines of lace leftover. Citrus, fruit and grain aroma. Caramel malts and mild piney hops. Light to medium mouth-feel. Straightforward, but then an APA isn't supposed to knock your socks off. Good showing.

On draught at The Abner Ale House in Norman, OK. Redbud Pale Ale pours up very unappealing with a light carbonation that creates a wafer thin whitish head that barely manages to ring the glass above the cloudy, dark goldenrod-orangish copper colored body. The initial aroma has a few rough edges including some acidic (yeasty) sharpness and an unpleasant celery seed (DMS) character, but these are quickly displaced by a welcomed fruity hop character (Manderine orange, mandelo, pomelo) supported by a sweet breadiness complimented by a bit of biscuit toastiness from the pale/caramel malt & doughy yeast. The flavor starts off with some toastiness supported by a touch of caramel before becoming overly bready. A moderate bitterness lends balance towards the bittersweet, slightly sharp finish. This medium bodied American ale is quite filling & flavorful with some nice malt complexity, but it lacks proper balance and drinkability which is the benchmark of the style. As much as I want to like this beer, it's a bit of a mess technically and stylistically closer towards an American Amber. Maybe this was a young batch that should've stayed in the conditioning (bright) tanks a bit longer or a keg that was put on tap before it had a chance to "settle out?" However, as this new upstart brewery gets this one "dialed" in, I'm certain it'll become more approachable. If Redbud Pale Ale is any indication of the great things to come then Oklahoma is in for a real good beer experience!

This beer pours a clear amber color with a finger of slightly off-white foamy head with plenty of lacing. The aroma is strong with grapefruit hops. The taste starts with malty sweetness and then finishes with earthy and citrusy hops. The mouthfeel is incredibly smooth and the finish is clean. Overall a great pale ale... Available in Oklahoma only.

The locally available, uber-hoppy, Pale Ale I've been looking for.
Pours a hazed gold-orange with a nice puff of white foam that drops a ring or two on the glass.
Hoppier than some IPAs, Redbud Pale Ale exhibits a great blend of American hop flavor, from perfumy flower essence, to herbal grassiness, and plenty of pine. Malt more or less stays out of the way, other than lending a base of soft caramel and grainy pale malt that really allows the hops to shine.
15 years ago this would have been a pretty hoppy IPA, today it's a Pale Ale that's definitely on the hoppy end of the style and I'll certainly be drinking much, much more of it.
