This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow to orange color with no head nor lacing. The aroma starts off with some sweet grassy and danky raw sweet onion. Light pulpy sweet lemon slides in underneath. The flavor leans sweet to the grassy side. Sweet danky onion does do an effort to balance. Definitely the sweet onion aftertaste with a tad of burn going down the throat. Semi-sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable quality about it. Carbonation feels good, somewhat mild with some sour embracing harshness hitting my tongue appropriately. Overall, really nice American Wild ale that I could come back to.

Straw yellow with loose head

Smells of bright citrus with a bit of sweetness...like a Meyer Lemon

Similar taste profile...lightly tart...not face puckering sour.

Crisp and dry

This beer pours a hazy bright yellow color with a small, fizzy head that dissipates almost immediately and leaves not a single spot of lacing. Smell is tart, oak, lemon, melon and tangerine. Taste is similar. Starts off fruity and juicy, mid sip transitions into a very nice tart lemon flavor and ends with a dry oak finish. Feel is light and very refreshing. Overall another very good beer from Almanac. I've been slow to try a lot of their farm to barrel beers bc of the price, but the ones I've sprung for have been great.

In a teku the beer was a hazy pale yellow color. There was a small white head that dissipated quickly.
A fruity and floral hop aroma.
A little lemon, some mint. Tart.
Nicely tart, very refreshing.

375 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled Spring 2016.

Pours a bright, hazy yellow with a small, quickly dissipating head and little lacing. Smells of yeast, malt, some dank hops, mint, funk, light white wine. A fruity and lightly floral aroma overall. The taste is fairly similar, yeast, light malt, some sourness and funk, a little tart, lemon, some white wine, still some mint. The hops are more complimentary. Smooth, good body, dry on the finish.

This is good- have not had a sour from Almanac I haven't liked, yet, but it's not one of the stronger efforts. Still, great aroma and good flavor. Worth a purchase.

thanks to my brother for sharing this bottle enjoyed chilled in a glass.

The color is a sunny golden hue with white head. The smell is mostly sour with slight citrus aroma. The feel is pretty high in the sourness level with moderate carbonation.

The taste is good with a nice level of acidity in the taste with slight hop flavor - the hops are more present in the aroma than the taste with a slight oak barrel element and astringent puckering quality as it finishes dry. This is decent and is a good sour ale however I prefer some of the other aroma hop varieties that have been utilized for this series

these guys just keep doing this, same beer, different fruit or hop, new ten dollar bottle release. it goes on and on, and as much as i complain about it and wish they would make some new base beers, they all taste real good, and this is one of the better ones in the series so far. not a lot of beers with equinox as a single hop out there, so this is unique too. smells juicy and tangy at the same time, the base sour is wheaty like the others and hazy, not overly bubbly, pale yellow, and moderately sour. lime rind, grapefruit, and tangerine all come into the taste profile, this is a fruity hop for sure with very definite citrus qualities. with the acidity of the lacto, there is a nice combination of pucker going on with the fruit. cleaner and lighter and more alive than some of the other ones, this is obviously an impressive and highly useful hop variety in a beer like this. even in other equinox forward brews, they havent been this vibrant, maybe its the low ph making something different come out of the hops, but its really tasty. amazingly juicy, more ipa-like than any of the others too, there is bitterness here as well. dramatic hop complexion, i really love it. one of the highlights of the series thus far for me.

375ml bottle into a Teku at fridge temp.

Look: opaque orange straw, no head.

Smell: sour fruit, mint, spicy hops.

Taste: kind of muddled at fridge temp, but warmed up a bit, a generic tart fruit flavor is paired with blueberry, fudge, honeydew, Lemonheads.

Feel: unstylistically heavy and undercarbonated.

Overall: Equinox has been my favorite hop since Noble's TBA Showers, and I bought this for that reason. Not worth the $10/375ml Almanac premium pricing, but a pretty good beer.

A: Big papaya, light mango hoppy aroma with a moderate sourness and light vinous aromas.

A: Deep straw color, hazy with a very thin white head that quickly recedes to a fine ring around the glass.

T: Big papaya, light mango tropical fruit hoppy flavor upfront, lightly vinous, moderately funky with some earth flavors with a faintly sharp, moderate sourness that liners lightly on the tongue

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The beer has a light acidity

O: Pretty enjoyable; the Equinox hops really exhibit aromas and flavors redolent of papaya, it’s really striking. The blend of sour blonde aged on wine barrels, mixed with a brett saison provides a great funky base for the Equinox hops to shine.

Bottled Spring 2016.

Pours a murky whitish-yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour with tropical fruit, white wine, wood, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour tropical fruit, lemon juice, and white wine flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a sour tropical fruit and white wine combination that is slightly better in the taste to me.

Serving type: bottle.

Light blonde color, murky. Sharp bretty smell. And sharp bretty/horseblanket taste, which is borderline disgusting until you get used to it. Once you do, what's left is a fairly pleasant citrusy flavor. It is super dry, and the ultra-high acidity is bound to hurt one's lips. Wouldn't buy again.
