bold taste and boozy. for a cold brew would like something not so overpowering in those aspects. still very good, with bourbon kick. Birreria Volo tap takeover.

-nearly black tap pour with a minute foam ring at the edge of the glass. Aroma is more bourbon than coffee and subdued. The flavors are deep coffee and Oaked bourbon with no bitterness and minimal sweetness. The ABV is not noticeable. This is a superb brew.

enjoyed this one on tap. black appearance with very little/no head. wasnt blown away by the aroma but the taste is definitely up there with the best. notes of vanilla, oak, roasty malts, caramel, toffee, boozy bourbon, tobacco, leather ... didnt pick up much of the coffee but ik the bar where i had this has been sitting on the keg for a while so maybe those notes have faded. overall the flavors are blending really well and its a quite enjoyable stout, would definitely drink this if I saw it on tap again!!

ive been enjoying bourbon barrel aged stouts. i cant drink them anymore since i tried this beer. if you have tried almanac beers you know they are always trying out new sours, wilds, barrels, hops - as a scientist i appreciate that experimentation. i saw this at a bar on nitro, i had the last glass as the foam spit out when the keg emptied. black as night, laced really nicely but the lace might have been from the keg emptying? hard to know for sure. but who cares about looks and smell when it tastes so damn good. the coffee flavor tasted like cold brew high quality beans. if you like good cold brew coffee on nitro you need to try this. the chocolate and malt and oak barrel flavors just were in perfect balance. very simply one of the best beers ive had. i need to find it again, i must.
