Thanks to leftpaw for bringing this camping in August 2018, twas one of my faves that week.

Pours a blonde color with some nectarine influence moving the color slightly into a more orange like territory. Didn't do much to form and retain a head, just a film around 1/6". The aroma hit the cinnamon and nectarine pretty hard, lacto sour feels, nothing funky going on here, just an attempt at replicating nectarine pie and it smells pretty good.

The beer brings the same graham cracker crust, nectarine and pie tartness you would expect, but without being overly sour, bitter or acidic. Its a clean sour for sure, basic blonde ale, breakfast spice cabinet and good nectarine character. Packs a good amount of flavor into a pretty light body. I think they did pretty well on the cobbler aspect of this, hit the right quantity of wood, dough, cinnamon, crust and fruit. I dunno what my brother paid for this, but if its like Almanac's usual $10 or less 375ml pricing tier, I would buy another.

Bottled 2017 -> Snifter

Appearance (3.75): Light, fizzy, quickly dissipating and leaving a thin residual.

Smell (4.25): A blend of sweet peaches, tart citrus, and funky notes create a remarkable medley for the nose. There's also a hint of a sweet vanilla or graham cracker.

Taste (4.25): Funky, sweet zesty peaches, lingering sour in the mouth.

Mouthfeel (4.5): Ideal for an aged sour imho. Mellow bodied, with light remaining carbonation.

Overall (4.25): Took a chance on an aged sour blonde that I didn't cellar myself, Almanac does not disappoint! I'd like to get my hands on a fresh batch of this beer. A great moderate of the funky sweet continuum.

Hazy golden color with a bit of off-white head. Aroma has spiced peach pie with a bit of cinnamon. Taste is tart, fruity, dry and quite mineral. Light body with medium carbonation. Quite good one with intense fruit notes.

Pours a hazy and acidic yellow with white lacing. The smell is enchanting, with tons of nectarine, mixed with hints of flowers, cinnamon, other citrus, and bread. Taste was nectarine and some yeast with a tiny, and I mean tiny, hint of other spices. Just full and juicy overall in taste and feel

Poured out as a nice golden color with a thin fading white head on top. The smell of peach and citrus blended with the spice and funk mesh well together. The taste has a solid balance of tart fruit along with what comes through as a cinnamon finish. The feel is medium bodied, giving the beer a nectar like texture to it. Overall it's a very good beer, would definitely drink it again.

A: Poured into a tulip to a slightly hazy straw yellow topped by a half finger of dense white head which fades quickly into the ether with no lacing
S: Smells of nectarines, clean sourness, a hint of spice and some slight doughy malt
T: Taste is nectarines up front with some cinnamon and spice notes, nice backbone of sourness to balance out the sweet nectarine notes. Swallow is a little doughy malt, more nectarines, lingering sour, and some slight cinnamon toward the very back end.
M: This beer has a body that is on the lighter side of medium with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Carbonation is just below prickly while the beer has a slightly drying finish from the acidity.
O: This beer is awesome. The flavors are what I would expect a nectarine cobbler to taste like. Bright and clean sourness along with some great real fruit notes make this one very enjoyable and the slight spice addition is just the icing on the cake. Definitely worth a try if you can get it.
