Collaboration with New Belgium. Canned on 5/17/22. Poured into a generic tulip. Labeled as an adambier but also as a lager. When I look up the style, all sources agree it's an ale of Dortmund origin. The can says "founder aged".
Look - clear cola brown with tall irregular light tan head. Has glass appeal.
Smell - toasty malts
Taste - good, but given the breweries involved and "foudre aged" I expected something special. Mild hops presence on a tasty dark malt base. No oak, traces of funkiness. Reminded me much more of an altbier rather than anything Belgian.
Feel - easy drinking
Overall - as mentioned above, I had expectations given the brewers and the aging. It's a good beer, but not special.
