Alright let's crank out the 2nd review ever for this Next Glass owned website. Pours out the can into a Standing Rock pint glass. Amazing clarity for the golden liquid. Head hits the 4/5" white small bubbles, this is a fantastic looking beer.
The aroma doesn't quite live up to the Nelson hop advertising, but its still enjoyable with its seemingly more reliance on the Simcoe and Nectaron hops. Frozen peach trees coming at you is the smell. Go on and dance.
Taste brings more citrus than stone fruit, more bittering Simcoe cold forest and Citra orange feels than anything in the Nelson wheelhouse. Thinking someone was name dropped here essentially. The mouthfeel was brisk and light for a double ipa. And it hid the alcohol well. I do believe the commercial tug job here of "Big . Bright . Bold" is applicable and qualifies as truth in advertising. There might be only one way to rock, but there are several ways to make a double ipa.

Clear dark amber brew with plenty of foam in the Chimay chalice. Fruity like pineapple and very sweet, but not really bitter except eventually in the aftertaste. Pencil shavings and a mineral-vegetable taste that is not so pleasant. Rather sharp with citrus peel and on the acidic side, but still clearly a regular American IPA. From the 16 oz can purchased at the big box store. Dated 08/21/23, which is why you really don't want to buy beer at Total Wine.
